The Lighthouse Photo Gallery was established in July 1999 to present the work of local Ontario photographer, Carol Norris.

Located up the steps in the Town Hall in Southampton, thousands of visitors viewed the work on display in the gallery during the inaugaral year, and have continued to enjoy the rich variety of images from Canada and abroad.

The work displayed portrays land and seascapes, with special emphasis on local features, such as the historic lighthouses of Southampton and Chantry Island, part of the rich maritime heritage found along the Lake Huron shoreline.

The spectacular sunsets seen from the shores of Lake Huron are world famous and are captured by Carol in majestic hues. Despite the depth of colour, Carol uses no filters in order to capture her images.
